Not Just Any Components

Any building is only as good as the materials and components used to construct it. Listed below are the components used in P-Modular garages. They are higher quality and cost a little more than what is otherwise available. P-Modular feels the components are well worth the added cost allowing us to offer more value to you, the customer.

Vinyl Siding

P-Modular standard vinyl siding is Napco™ with a consistent .044 nominal gauge thickness—it is typically heavier than many sidings. We also require our siding to be colorfast throughout; some sidings have a cheaper gray substitute with a colored face only. Napco™ siding is designed to be more resilient and less susceptible to breakage by flying objects. Custom sidings/bricks are available upon request.

Windows

P-Modular windows are single hung vinyl clad thermal panes, as opposed to aluminum which frosts and becomes difficult to use in the winter. P-Modular windows tilt in for the ease of cleaning!

Service Doors

P-Modular uses name brand service doors utilizing a high quality vinyl coated steel slab. The edges of the doors are sealed with a vinyl weather strip and the sills are heavy-duty aluminum. The service doors are installed at P-Modular with dual standard key and dead bolt locks.

Lumber

The lumber used in the frame or skeleton of a P-Modular Garage is high-quality Western kiln-dried spruce, pine or fir lumber from Canada or the Western United States. Only the highest quality lumber can be used because warped, badly knotted or splintered pieces would jam the finely tuned static jigs. This means that better materials, applied with tighter specifications, go into modular garages.

Trusses

To ensure quality in the manufacturing process, all trusses are made in the P-Modular factory with high-quality spruce, pine, or fir lumber. Many manufactured trusses are often stored outdoors or are exposed to weather conditions while being transported that may cause the trusses to warp. P-Modular trusses, on the other hand, do not leave the factory without first being attached to the balance of the garage and having the roof materials in place. This ensures no weather related problems will occur.

Vinyl Overhangs

Maintenance-free vinyl overhangs are standard on all P-Modular garages. P-Modular standard vinyl siding is Napco™ with a consistent .044 nominal gauge thickness. The eaves are a full 12” wide to enhance the appearance of the structure.

Roof Sheathing

The roof sheathing is oriented strand board. The sheets are made using strands of aspen, laminated in layers and in alternating directions resulting in an extremely rigid and durable material. OSB is much better option than waferwood or plywood.

Roof Shingles

P-Modular utilizes Owens Corning 30-Year Warranty Shingles or CertainTeed fiberglass as standard practice on our P-Modular garages and buildings. Custom materials may be ordered as well (tile, metal, etc.).

Overhead Garage Doors

P-Modular uses Wayne-Dalton overhead doors that have been manufactured in the United States since 1946. You have your choice of colors (white, taupe, almond and brown), raised-panel and flush styles and decorative window lites options. Wayne-Dalton’s maintenance-free exterior won’t crack, split or rust for years, and it comes with a lifetime-limited warranty.
